Kelly Vincent

Hello! I want to introduce myself – especially to those of you who may have seen me in the clubhouse or taking photos on the courts.

I’m Kelly Vincent and I was responsible for rebuilding the club website.

My initial connection to the club was through my brother-in-law, Michael Floyd, and that is what encouraged me to help with the website. Having met the people, visited the club, seen the facilities, and realising the potential of Ripley and Alfreton Tennis Club, I am now personally invested in collaborating with the club long term. Meeting the committee and other members has shown me other ways that I can help the club, such as using the website and social media to keep members informed and to tell the local community about what you can offer. Alongside Phil Chapman and other members, I am working on a longer-term marketing and communication strategy that will benefit current members and attract potential members in the future.

Ideally, everything I do with the club will make life better and/or easier for the existing and potential members. It would help me greatly if people could help in small ways, including

  • telling me why Ripley and Alfreton Tennis Club is so special
  • sharing ideas of how to make club communication even better and easier
  • teaching me about tennis, as I am a complete novice (I’m especially keen to learn about the theory as I’m not sure my knees could survive a practical tutorial)

All feedback on the website, especially any problems you spot, is welcome. You can email me at kelly.vincent@ripleyalfretontennis.org.uk with your thoughts and suggestions. If you have photos that can be shared online – on the website or via social media – please send those to me, confirming that anyone featured has given their permission.
